The LAPD arrested former NYPD Blue star Kim Delaney in January 2002 for drunk driving, even though she was not driving at the time. A concerned motorist observed Delaney's erratic driving, called 911 to report it, and followed the actress to her home, where they were met by sheriff's deputies. The actress denied she had been drinking and declined to take a sobriety test. In February 2002, Delaney was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay a fine after pleading no contest to a charge of reckless driving.
