The first mug shot below of Robert Downey Jr. was taken courtesy of the California Department of Corrections in August 1999 while he was serving a 3-year sentence, for drug possession while on parole. An appellate court later ordered him released, ruling that the sentence did not account for the time the actor had spent in court-ordered rehab. The second picture below was snapped after the actor was arrested in April 2001, for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, after police found him wandering in a Culver City alley. Charges were not filed.
