Bank Robber Begs Judge To Give Him The Max So He Can Die In Prison

When Chris Peak was sentenced Thursday for robbing $347 from a Fort Lauderdale bank, he calmly begged the judge to give him the maximum punishment.

he 65-year-old serial bank robber, who has spent most of his adult life behind bars, said that being a free man didn't work out for him. He just wanted to be sent back to his favorite federal prison hospital so he can die there.

Katherine Lambeth, 50, of Cloverhill Drive allowed a man named "G" to borrow her 1980 Oldsmobile, Officer Shawn Haney reported. In exchange, she received from him $50 worth of crack cocaine and a promise to return the car by 5 p.m. last Saturday. When he didn't return the car as promised, she reported her car missing Monday. The car is valued at $1,500.
