Bank Robbery Leads To Unrelated Arrest

Around 9:30 Friday morning the Great Western Bank near 48th and L Street was robbed by a masked man who was dressed in dark clothing.

A few blocks away, near 49th and C Streets, officers took a man into custody who apparently panicked when he saw the police cruisers that were headed to the bank. Click Here To Read More

Katherine Lambeth, 50, of Cloverhill Drive allowed a man named "G" to borrow her 1980 Oldsmobile, Officer Shawn Haney reported. In exchange, she received from him $50 worth of crack cocaine and a promise to return the car by 5 p.m. last Saturday. When he didn't return the car as promised, she reported her car missing Monday. The car is valued at $1,500.

Actress Michelle Rodriguez, 27, who plays police officer Ana Lucia on the TV show Lost, was arrested by real-life police in December 2005 after her cars was seen weaving in Kailua, Hawaii. After failing a field sobriety test, Rodriguez was charged with driving under the influence and released on $500 bail. Her character on the show was subsequently killed off.
