Boynton Man Accused Of Biting Publix Customer While Stealing Meat

A Boynton Beach man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly attacked two people at a Publix Super Market and left a bite mark on one victim while stealing about $110 worth of meat, according to an arrest report.

Darrien Giannelli is facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault on a victim 65 or older and theft after he allegedly tried to walk out of the Publix in the Sunshine Square shopping center at Federal Highway and Woolbright Road with $110.04 of meat in a hand basket without paying.

Katherine Lambeth, 50, of Cloverhill Drive allowed a man named "G" to borrow her 1980 Oldsmobile, Officer Shawn Haney reported. In exchange, she received from him $50 worth of crack cocaine and a promise to return the car by 5 p.m. last Saturday. When he didn't return the car as promised, she reported her car missing Monday. The car is valued at $1,500.
