Burglar Holds Hotel Guest At Gunpoint, Falls Asleep

A local man is facing a litany of felony charges after breaking into a hotel room over the weekend and holding the occupant at gunpoint until he fell asleep and the man escaped.

Jerry Allen Mills Jr., 36, of 3115 E. 5th Street, Panama City, was charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, burglary of an occupied dwelling with a firearm, false imprisonment, carrying a conceale3d firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and improper exhibition of a firearm in connection with the incident, which left a hotel guest and three front desk clerks fearing for their lives.

After some mild bickering during a delivery at a Wal-Mart in October in Indiana County, Pa., according to police, a Pepsi Cola route man allegedly repeatedly punched a Coca-Cola route man in the face.

Jupiter, Florida, authorities charged MLB manager Tony LaRussa with drunk driving in March 2007. The official report states that the St. Louis Cardinals' manager was slumped over the wheel of a Ford SUV in an intersection around midnight. After failing field sobriety tests, the 62-year-old LaRussa was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, where Breathalyzer tests showed his blood alcohol content to be .093 - above Florida's .08 legal limit. LaRussa posted $500 bond and was released.
