Cops: Man Caught With Drugs After Pretending To Not Speak English

A suspect who pretended not to speak English when he was pulled over late Tuesday night was charged with possession of narcotics and issued an infraction for running a red light, police said.

An officer driving behind Jose Vila on Park Avenue near State Street shortly before midnight made the motor vehicle stop after the suspect ignored the traffic signal, a police incident report said.
