A man arrested for drunken driving said he was from another planet and was "getting his binge on."

Phillip Clingman got more than he expected when he repossessed a vehicle from Smyrna. He found a hand grenade and two long guns inside. Officer Dave Norton took the grenade and guns for safekeeping.

Sid Vicious

Simon John Beverly, better known to his legions of punk rock fans as "Sid Vicious," was arrested in October 1978 in New York City in connection with the murder of Nancy Spungen, Sid's reported girlfriend and drug buddy. Vicious denied any memory of the crime, though he admitted that he was high on heroin at the time. He died of a drug overdose before any conviction was made.
