Man Accused Of Bribery, Stealing Cop Car, More After Traffic Stop

What began as a routine traffic stop in Royal Oak Township today ended with allegations of attempted bribery, a crash in a stolen police cruiser, a home invasion and a manhunt involving a helicopter.

A sick alligator was reported in a pond on Henderson Road on July 26. Police came and observed the 4-foot-long alligator. It did not look sick to them.

Activist Jesse Jackson was arrested in December 1999 and charged with criminal trespass when he walked onto the grounds of an Illinois high school where a debate was raging around the penalization of several students expelled for fighting. Jackson was recently arrested and charged again for the same crime in connection with a demonstration at a gun shop in Riverdale, Illinois, when he refused to leave the store as ordered by police.
