A 44-year-old Jacksonville transient was arrested Sunday evening on a charge of disturbing a gravestone after a police officer stopped him at Evergreen Cemetery with flowers with dirt stuck to them, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
An officer saw him walking toward the front of the cemetery at 4535 N. Main St. with three bouquets with fresh soil falling from them. The officer asked where he got the flowers and was told he "ripped them out of the soil next to a tombstone," according to police.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa police say a suspicious smell coming from a port-a-potty turned out to be leftovers from an illegal meth lab.
Police discovered the remnants after responding to a call about the smell.
