Man Uses Drill Robbery

Police say the man tried to rob a Kwik Shop early Wednesday. Investigators say say he demanded money and held an object under a towel to look like a gun.

But the clerk saw a drill bit and a cord and refused to hand over any money. The man fled the store without the loot. No injuries are reported. The store manager has provided police with surveillance footage.

A Valley West resident complained that her roommate allowed a paint-covered dog to wander around the apartment, leaving paint smudges all over the home.

Actress Michelle Rodriguez, 27, who plays police officer Ana Lucia on the TV show Lost, was arrested by real-life police in December 2005 after her cars was seen weaving in Kailua, Hawaii.
