Police: Man Arrested Twice For Stealing Beer

A 26-year-old Basalt man was arrested twice this week for allegedly stealing cases of Miller Lite from a 7-Eleven.

Activist Jesse Jackson was arrested in December 1999 and charged with criminal trespass when he walked onto the grounds of an Illinois high school where a debate was raging around the penalization of several students expelled for fighting. Jackson was recently arrested and charged again for the same crime in connection with a demonstration at a gun shop in Riverdale, Illinois, when he refused to leave the store as ordered by police.
