Police: Man "Wanted To Go To Jail"

Authorities in Florida said a man who told a deputy he "wanted to go to jail" caused $800 worth of damage to a patrol car.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said the man approached a deputy outside the Bradenton office of the department and told her he "wanted to go to jail," the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Thursday. Click Here To Read More

In October, Gary Gordon of Nevada, IA reported a burglary. Gordon indicated an unknown party entered his residence and took a half gallon of ice cream from the freezer. The loss was estimated at $5.00. Investigation is continuing.

Rip Torn

Texan actor Rip Torn was arrested for drunk driving in the city suburb of North Salem, New York in December 2006 for crashing his car into a tractor-trailer. State police said the 75-year-old actor was visibly intoxicated and refused a Breathalyzer test. He was later quoted as saying "I love New York" after being acquitted in a juried trial. Torn was arrested on the same charge two years earlier in New York City for crashing into a taxi.
