Police Officers With Weight Problems Undergo Seminar

Some 65 overweight policemen yesterday underwent a fitness seminar to help them manage their weight.

CCPD Director Cletis Henderson said being overweight hinders their job to fight criminal elements. Many officers agree with the program. Personal coaching and exercise programs will begin in the next week. Police from the lower ranks participated in the seminar conducted by a dietician and professional trainer from the Kotex Medical Center (KMC). Henderson said officers who recently joined the force were also asked to attend the seminar so they would know how to prevent weight gain.
