A pair of suspected burglars were caught, carrying their loot, by London police officers who followed footprints they had unwittingly left in the snow.

Civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. was arrested by Alabama police in February 1956 for his part in the Montgomery bus boycotts. He served a brief stint in jail.
