Police: Woman On Probation Broke Into Home While Wearing GPS

A Dartmouth woman fitted with a GPS tracking bracelet, who police say was monitored by the state Probation Service as she broke into a home in June, is facing charges locally and in a number of other communities for similar crimes.

The break-in at 200 Island Heights Ave. wasn't reported to police until June 24, when the owner noticed a large amount of jewelry was taken from her residence, Police Chief Joseph Ferreira said.
