Sword, Sandwich Used In Attack On Women, Deputies Say

A Winter Haven man remained in jail Sunday after he was accused of attacking three women with a 4-foot sword and a peanut-butter sandwich, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Mark Christopher Miller, 50, used the sword to threaten two women, one of them pregnant, and then smeared another with the sandwich before the deputies hauled him away, according to his arrest report. Click Here To Read More

At 9:31 a.m., a woman called from the 11000 block of Wolf Road to report someone blew up a mailbox across from her house during night.

California authorities charged Backstreet Boy Nick Carter with drunk driving in March 2005 after the 25-year-old singer was pulled over for a traffic violation at about 7:30 PM. The police determined he was drunk during routine questioning. Carter failed the field sobriety test and was booked into the Huntington Beach City Jail. After four hours in custody, he was released, although he was issued a citation.
