Woman Tells Deputy She Thought What They Were Doing Was Illegal

A woman who was stopped outside a discount store with a shopping cart full of sports equipment, toys, and bedding she hadn't paid for told an Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy she thought what she and her male companion were doing was illegal, but she didn't know exactly what was going on.

On Oct. 15 a deputy was in the parking lot of Walmart on Emerald Coast Parkway when he was notified by a store employee a woman was shoplifting. The deputy found the alleged shoplifter, 44-year-old Hope Davies Gibbons of Fort Walton Beach, just inside the store's side exit. Click Here To Read More
